Carefully brush away any flakes visible on the surface of the fabric. Doing so will help remove excess oil that might cause the stain to set in deeper.
Mix a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid with a cup of cold water. Using a damp cloth, dab the diluted solution on the affected area, allowing the liquid to penetrate the fabric and dilute the scissors oil stain.
Once the stain has been dampened, soak up any remaining liquid with a clean white cloth, then rinse frequently with cold water until the cloth no longer picks up color.
Wash your yoga pants according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure to use detergent appropriate for the fabric's texture and a setting that’s not too hot. In some cases, you may be able to machine-dry your pants. However, air-drying is usually preferable as it’s less likely to shrink the material.
