What You Need to Clean Scissors Oil Stains on Uggs

Before you get started, make sure you have all the necessary items for the job. You’ll need a clean cloth, some mild detergent, a soft brush, a suede brush, and some white vinegar.

Step 1: Blot Stain with a Clean Cloth

As soon as you notice the scissors oil stain on your Uggs, take a clean cloth and gently blot the area to remove any excess oil. Don’t rub or scrub the stain, as this can spread the stain or damage the leather.

Step 2: Mix a Mild Detergent Solution

In a small bowl, mix together one tablespoon of mild detergent with two cups of warm water. Dip the clean cloth into solution and gently dab the stained area.

Step 3: Add Vinegar to Mixture

Next, add two tablespoons of white vinegar to the detergent mixture and stir. The vinegar helps to break down the oil and will effectively clean your Uggs.

Step 4: Gently Brush the Area

Using a soft brush, gently brush area where stain was. This will help to lift the stain from the leather. If the stain is still visible, use a suede brush to brush area in circular motions.

Repeat as Needed

Repeat the steps above until the stain is completely gone. Once you’ve finished, allow your Uggs to dry before wearing them.
