Step 1: Prepare your supplies

Before you begin cleaning scissors oil stain from your tussah fabric, you'll need to gather some supplies. You'll need 1 tsp. of laundry detergent, a bucket, warm water, and a clean cloth.

Step 2: Pre-treat the stain

Mix 1 tsp. of laundry detergent with 1 cup of warm water, then soak the stained area in the mixture. You can also apply the mixture directly onto the stain with a clean cloth.

Step 3: Launder the fabric

Once the fabric has been pre-treated, it's time to launder the tussah fabric. Read the care tag on the fabric to find out which cycle and temperature setting to use for washing. After wash is complete, check to make sure the stain has been removed. If not, repeat steps 1-3 until the stain is gone.
