If you’ve ever had the misfortune of an oil stain from scissors on your stockings, you know that it can be difficult to remove. But don’t worry -- we have a few tips to help you save your stockings and restore them back to their pristine condition!
- Start by blotting the stain with a clean white rag or paper towel. Gently dab at the stained area to absorb as much of oil as possible.
- Once the oil has been absorbed, pour some baking soda onto stain and gently rub it in. This will help gently lift away any remaining oil.
- For stubborn stains, mix equal parts dish soap and vinegar together and apply it to the stain. This mixture should penetrate and break down stain, making it easier to remove.
- Once the stain has been treated with the soap and vinegar mixture, blot it with a clean white cloth or paper towel to absorb any extra oils.
- Gently rinse the area with cold water and then lay flat to dry.
