The first step in removing oil stains from Skechers is to blot the stain with a clean white cloth. Don't rub or scrub at the stain – this could spread the oil around and make it more difficult to remove. Instead, blot stain with a light touch, allowing the cloth to absorb as much of the oil as possible.
Once you've blotted up as much oil as possible, you'll want to treat stain with a stain remover. There are a variety of commercially available solutions on the market specifically designed for removing oil stains from fabric, but you can also mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts water. Gently apply the stain remover or vinegar solution to the affected area, being careful not to saturate the fabric.
Once you've applied the stain remover or vinegar solution, rinse the stained area with cold water. This will help to loosen and remove any remaining oil residue. Be sure to use only cold water, as hot water may cause the oil to set into the fabric.
Finally, you'll want to wash the stained area with a mild detergent and let the shoes air dry. Never put your Skechers in the dryer, as this could cause the stain to set permanently.
