What You'll Need

  • A bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • White vinegar
  • Dishwashing detergent
  • A clean white cloth
  • An iron

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 teaspoons of vinegar with 1 teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent in a bowl.
  2. Dampen a clean white cloth with the mixture.
  3. Blot at oily stain with the damp cloth, starting from the outside and working your way in.
  4. Continue blotting until stain has been removed.
  5. If the stain persists, mix a stronger solution by adding more vinegar and dishwashing detergent.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 with stronger solution until the stain is gone.
  7. Once the stain has been removed, rinse out the area with cold water.
  8. Allow the satin to air dry.
  9. Once the fabric is dry, use an iron on lowest setting to press out any remaining water spots or wrinkles.
