Step 1: Start by Blotting the Stain

The first step in removing an oil stain from your sarong is to take a paper towel or clean cloth and use it to blot up as much of the oil as you can. Be sure not to rub the stain, as this can make it bigger and more difficult to remove.

Step 2: Soak the Sarong

Once the majority of the oil has been absorbed by the paper towel or cloth, you will need to soak the sarong in a bucket or basin of warm water mixed with a mild laundry detergent. The water should be enough to cover the stained area. Let the sarong soak for at least 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash the Stain Out

After soaking the sarong for at least 15 minutes, you will need to gently scrub the oil-stained area with a soft brush. This will help to further loosen the stain and help lift it from fabric. Rinse the sarong well afterward to remove any soapy residue.

Step 4: Hang to Dry

Once the oil has been washed out of the sarong, hang it up to dry in the sun or inside on a hanger. Do not place it in the dryer, as this could cause oil stain to set permanently.
