- Laundry detergent
How to Remove Oil Stains from Puma Shoes
- Sprinkle some baking soda onto the area affected by an oil stain. Use enough baking soda to cover the entire stain.
- Pour white vinegar over the baking soda and work it into the affected area with a clean cloth. Keep rubbing the area until the baking soda and vinegar mixture forms a paste.
- Leave paste on the stain for a few hours. This will allow the mixture to loosen up the oil.
- When you notice stain is lightening, use a clean cloth and warm water to remove the paste and the stain.
- If stain remains, use a laundry detergent that is specifically made for colored fabrics and scrub affected area with the detergent.
- Once the detergent is applied, rinse the affected area in cold water and air dry.
Tips
- Never use hot water on leather or suede material.
- Try to act as soon as possible when noticing a stain on your shoes. The longer it stays there, the harder it is to remove.
- Make sure you are using only clean tools, such as clothes and sponges, when trying to remove a stain. Dirty tools can spread germs and bacteria.
- Avoid using chemical agents like bleach, nail polish remover, acetone, and other solvents, as these can damage surface of your shoes.
