Scissors oil stains on pongee are seemingly impossible to get rid of, but don’t despair! With a few simple steps you’ll be able to remove the oil stain from your fabric. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Mild detergent or dish-washing soap
  • A soft cloth or sponge
  • White vinegar

Once you have these items, here’s what you should do:

  1. Dab stain with a clean cloth or sponge soaked in a mild detergent or dish-washing soap and water. Do not rub or scrub the fabric, as this may cause the stain to spread.
  2. Let the soapy solution sit for about 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
  3. If the stain remains, apply some white vinegar directly to the stain, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water to remove any excess vinegar.
  4. If the stain still persists, repeat steps 1-3 until stain is gone.

With a bit of effort and patience, your pongee fabric will be stain free!
