Step 1: Mix a Cleaning Solution

Start by mixing 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap, 1 cup of warm water, and ¼ cup of either white vinegar or lemon juice in a bowl. Stir the solution until it becomes sudsy.

Step 2: Soak the Panties in the Solution

Place the stained panties in the solution and let them soak for at least 15 minutes. For tougher stains, you can soak them for up to an hour.

Step 3: Rinse and Wash with Detergent

Once done soaking, rinse panties with cold water, then launder as you normally would - using detergent and cold water. Make sure you don’t use hot water as it can set the stain.

Step 4: Check if Stain is Gone

After laundering, check the panties to see if the stain has disappeared. If not, repeat the process once more.

Step 5: Dry Panties

Once the stain is gone, line dry the panties in indirect sunlight or in the shade.

Tips for Preventing Scissors Oil Stains

  • Avoid overfilling your scissors with oil to prevent spills
  • Throw your panties in the washer soon after they get stained
  • Clean your scissors and the area around them often to avoid further contamination
