Using Detergent

Start by washing the overalls with a detergent that contains an enzyme-based formula. Dishwashing detergents are the most effective for this purpose. Pre-treat the stain with the detergent, scrub it gently with a brush and a sponge, then rinse with water. Repeat until the stain is gone.

Applying Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol can be a very effective alternative to detergent. Soak a cloth in rubbing alcohol, place it over stained area and press down gently. Then, rinse with water. You may also use a mixture of rubbing alcohol and glycerin to pre-treat fabric before putting in washing machine.

Cleaning with WD-40

WD-40 is another great cleaning alternative for removing scissors oil stains from overalls. Spray the affected area with WD-40, wait for a few minutes, then scrub it with a brush and soap until it’s clean. Once you’re done, rinse with water.

Freshening Up with Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is an acidic cleaner with natural bleaching properties. Mix lemon juice with water in equal parts and pour it onto the stain. Scrub the area gently with a brush and allow solution to sit for a few minutes. Afterwards, rinse with water and repeat the process if necessary.
