Step 1: Pre-Clean Stains

Start by removing any excess oil from the stain with a paper towel. Make sure not to spread the stain further by blotting gently and then discarding the paper towel.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

Mix up a solution of 2 teaspoons of liquid detergent and 1 cup of cold water. Dip a white cloth into mixture and then gently dab at stain. Avoid rubbing cloth on the fabric as this can cause further damage.

Step 3: Rinse Cloth

Rinse the cloth in cold water and wring it out before again blotting at the stain. This should help to remove majority of the oil.

Step 4: Apply Vinegar Solution

Mix 1 teaspoon of white vinegar with 1 cup of cold water and dab the solution onto the stain with the cloth. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for about 10 minutes before moving on to next step.

Step 5: Blot With Ammonia

Mix 1 teaspoon of clear ammonia with 1 cup of cold water. Dab this solution onto the stain and allow to sit for another 10 minutes. The ammonia should help to break down the oil.

Step 6: Rinse Remaining Oil

Rinse the fabric with cold water to remove any remaining oil and detergent.

Step 7: Air Dry Fabic

Once the organza has been thoroughly rinsed and all visible traces of oil have been removed, hang it up or lay it flat in a dry place to air dry. Avoid putting fabric in the dryer as heat can set the stain.
