Oil-resistant materials such as leather are usually used to make mules, making them quite difficult to clean when stained with oil. However, this does not mean that it is impossible! Follow the steps below to effectively clean off any stubborn oil stains from your mules.
The first step in cleaning an oil stain from your mules is to blot away any excess oil. Place a paper towel or cloth over affected area and dab it gently until all the excess oil is absorbed. This will help prevent the oil from spreading further.
Once you have removed the excess oil, make a mild detergent solution by mixing a few drops of mild detergent with warm water. Soak a clean cloth or brush in the solution and use it to scrub the stain gently. Be sure to scrub in circular motions, but not too harshly as to avoid damaging the material or producing more stains.
Once the detergent solution has been applied and the stain has been scrubbed, rinse the affected area with fresh water. Use a clean cloth to wipe away the cleaning solution. Finally, allow the mules to air dry completely before using them.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
