Cover the stained area with a cloth or paper towel and blot gently. Avoid rubbing the fabric too much or using scrubbing motions as it may damage the delicate material.
Mix a solution of one teaspoon dishwashing detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and two cups of warm water together in a bowl. This solution helps get rid of stubborn oil stains.
Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab it onto the stained area. Avoid rubbing stained area and simply dab the cloth in a gentle motion. Work the solution into the fabric and allow it to set for a few minutes.
Rinse the solution off the fabric using cool water. Use a damp cloth to dab the fabric and rinse any remaining residue away. Once all the solution has been removed, use a dry cloth to blot the fabric and absorb any remaining water.
If the stain persists after following the above steps, repeat until it is gone. You may need to increase amount of dishwashing detergent or white vinegar depending on the severity of stain.
