The first step to removing any oil stain is to blot the area with a cloth or paper towel. Make sure to press gently when blotting and avoid scrubbing as this can spread stain further and make it harder to remove. If the stain is fresh, it might be a good idea to spray a little bit of water on the affected area first, as this will help dilute it a bit.
Once you've blotted the area, you'll want to apply some soap to stain. You can use any type of liquid laundry detergent for this, or you can use a multi-purpose cleaner like Dr. Bronner's. Apply a small amount of the detergent to the stain and then gently rub it in using a soft cloth.
Once the detergent has been applied, it's important to rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water. You can do this by running the fabric under a tap or by soaking it in a basin of cold water. This will help remove any residual soap and loosen the stain further.
If the stain is still visible after the initial cleaning, then repeat steps 2 and 3 until it is gone. Once stain is removed, hang the fabric up to dry and it should look as good as new!
