  • A small amount of water
  • A few drops of mild detergent
  • A clean white cloth or sponge
  • A small basin
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • White vinegar

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. First, mix two drops of mild detergent in a small basin of warm water.
  2. Submerge the clean white cloth or sponge in the solution and gently wipe the area surrounding the scissor oil stain with the cloth.
  3. Once the area is saturated, fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and lightly mist the stain. Be sure to avoid saturating the material with the alcohol.
  4. Let solution sit on the stain for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water in another small basin.
  6. Using the same cloth or sponge, gently rub the fabric together using a circular motion.
  7. Once stain begins to fade, rinse area with cold running water.
  8. Once stain is completely gone, allow the jersey to air dry.
