Start by using a soft cloth or paper towel and some isopropyl alcohol. Gently rub away the stain in circles, being careful not to damage the material of the hair clip. If any residue remains, you can use a mild soap and water solution.

For added convenience, you can also try store-bought cleaners that are specifically made for removing scissor oil and other tough stains from fabrics. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first, such as underside of hair clip, to make sure it won’t damage the material. When you are done, be sure to rinse the area with a clean cloth and cold water.

If the above methods don’t work, then it may be time to bring out heavy artillery. A mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide may do the trick. Apply the paste to stained area and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing it away with a damp cloth. Rinse affected area with cold water when finished, and dry with a soft cloth.

Still having trouble getting rid of those stubborn scissor oil stains? Don’t worry – professional dry cleaners can often take care of tough stains like this. With their powerful cleaning solutions, they can make short work of any oil stain.

We hope these tips have helped you tackle those pesky scissor oil stains on your favorite hair clips. With just a bit of effort, you can restore them to their former glory in no time!
