Steps to Remove Scissors Oil Stains from Formalwear
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and club soda in a bowl.
- Soak a clean toothbrush in the mixture and apply it to the stain.
- Gently brush the stain - avoid scrubbing too hard.
- Rinse with cold water.
- Use a dry cloth to dab away any remaining moisture.
- Sprinkle baking soda over the wet stain and let sit for at least an hour.
- Vacuum off the baking soda. At this point you may find that stain is gone.
- If the stain is still visible, mix 1 teaspoon ammonia with 1 cup of warm water and use a cloth to dab at the stained area. Rinse again with cold water.
- Let the piece of clothing air dry.
