- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Laundry detergent
- Clean cloths or paper towels
- Rubbing alcohol (optional)
Instructions
- Using dish soap and a damp cloth, gently scrub the stain until it begins to lighten. Do not use any scrubbing motion that would spread the stain or cause damage to fabric.
- Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water. Apply the solution to the stain. Let sit for a few minutes and then blot with a cloth or paper towel.
- If the stain is still visible, sprinkle baking soda on the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then brush off the baking soda and blot the remaining stain with a cloth.
- Apply a small amount of laundry detergent to stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Blot any remaining stain with a cloth. If stain persists, you can apply rubbing alcohol with a clean cloth.
Tips
- Always test a small area of your garment first to make sure that the cleaning method won't damage fabric.
- Be gentle when scrubbing or blotting the stain, as a harsh motion can spread the stain or cause damage to fabric.
