One of the best techniques for removing greasy, oily stains from any fabric is to use a dry-cleaning solvent. Work the solvent into the stain with a clean cloth and let it sit for a few minutes. You may have to repeat this process to get the desired results. Once you've worked the solvent into the stain, rinse with lukewarm water.

You can also use dishwashing soap and a brush to scrub out the stain. Another alternative is to make a paste of baking soda and white vinegar. Apply this paste directly onto the stain and use a toothbrush or scrub brush to rub it in. Allow the paste to sit for 30 minutes before wiping away with a damp cloth.

If you're dealing with oil stains on fleece fabric, one of the most effective methods is to use baby or mineral oil. Apply a small amount of oil onto the stain and let it sit for several minutes before blotting it with a dry paper towel. After applying oil, use a laundry stain remover with a scrub brush to work the product into the fabric.

Hairspray is another easy way to lift an oil stain from a fabric. Apply hairspray liberally over the stained area and allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes. Once the time is up, soak a sponge in warm water and use it to scrub out the stain. Then, rinse the fabric with cold water.

It can be difficult to remove oil stains from a fabric like fleece, but it’s not impossible. Try one of the above strategies and you should have your favorite fleece item looking good as new.
