Eliminate Oil Stains from Cotton Twill Quickly and Easily

What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • Stain remover
  • White vinegar
  • Clean cloth

Instructions

  1. Treat the stained area with a mixture of dish soap and white vinegar. Before applying the mixture, scrape off any excess oil.
  2. Using a clean cloth, apply the soapy mixture to the stained area and rub gently in a circular motion.
  3. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
  4. If the stain persists, apply a commercial stain remover to the spot and let sit for two minutes.
  5. Wipe off the stain remover and then rinse the fabric with cold water.
  6. Allow the fabric to air dry or machine wash in cold water.
