Dish soap is a great option for getting rid of scissors oil stains. All you need to do is dampen stained area with warm water and then apply the dish soap directly onto the stain. Gently rub it in with your fingers, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it off. You may need to repeat this process a few times if the stain is particularly stubborn.
Another effective method for removing scissors oil from clothes is to mix together baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Apply the paste to the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then rinse it off. This process can be repeated as necessary until the stain is gone.
You can also try using a commercial spot treatment to remove the oil. Simply read the instructions on the packaging and follow them carefully, being sure to spot test the product on a small area of the fabric before using it on the whole stain.
If the scissors oil stain has set in, you may need to use a stronger prescription. Try rubbing a little liquid detergent or vinegar into the stain before washing. You can also try pre-treating the stain with an enzyme-based laundry detergent before laundering item.
