What You'll Need

  • Baking Soda
  • Vinegar
  • Spoon
  • Clean Towel

Step 1 - Sprinkle Baking Soda over the Stained Fabic

Carefully sprinkle baking soda over the fabric to ensure it gets an even coat. This will draw out the oil from the fabric.

Step 2 - Pour Vinegar over the Baking Soda

Using a spoon, carefully pour vinegar over the baking soda covered fabric. Make sure all of the powder is wet with vinegar, but be careful not to spill any on the rest of fabric.

Step 3 - Allow the Mixture to Sit for 1 Hour

Allow the mixture to sit for 1 hour, then use the spoon to mix the baking soda and vinegar together. This will create a paste that will help draw out the oil and stain.

Step 4 - Wait Until the Paste is Completely Dry

Once dry, use a clean towel to wipe away the paste and the oil stain should also be removed. If stain is still present, repeat steps 1-4 until the stain is gone.
