How To Easily Remove Scissor Oil Stains From Broomstick Lace

Getting a scissor oil stain on your broomstick lace can be frustrating. But don't worry, you can easily remove any unwelcome stains with some simple cleaning tools.

You will need:

  • White vinegar (preferably distilled)
  • Baking soda
  • Rubbing Alcohol or denatured alcohol
  • Large Bowl
  • Small Sponge
  • Soft Cloth

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1/2 cup of baking soda in the large bowl to create a paste.
  2. Take small sponge and dip it into the paste mixture. Gently apply the paste to the stained area of the broomstick lace.
  3. Leave the paste on the stain for about 10 minutes.
  4. Wearing gloves, take a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol and gently dab at the stained area.
  5. Rinse off paste and alcohol with cold water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Tips and Warnings

  • Be sure to work over a sink with the water running to rinse off the paste and alcohol.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when using rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol.
