What You Will Need
- Clean white cloth
- Stain remover
- Dry cleaning solvent
- Lint-free cloth
- Iron
Steps
- Put the stained fabric on a flat surface. Use a clean white cloth to pat down the area and absorb as much of the scissor oil as possible.
- Apply a small amount of stain remover to the affected area, brushing fabric in both directions to ensure even coverage.
- Let the stain remover sit for about 10 minutes before blotting with a lint-free cloth.
- If the stain persists, apply a dry cleaning solvent to the area and let it sit for 5 minutes before blotting.
- Once stain is completely removed, lay fabric on an ironing board and press with an iron set to low heat (no steam).
Additional Tips
- Do not rub the fabric when cleaning as this may spread the stain.
- Test all products on an inconspicuous part of the material first before applying to the stained area.
- If stain continues to be stubborn, seek professional cleaning services.
