Before you start cleaning, make sure you have all the necessary supplies readily available. Gather dry cloths, a mild detergent, a pair of rubber gloves, a bucket of warm water, and a soft-bristled brush. Make sure to cover any nearby furniture or items to protect them from getting wet.
Take your soft-bristled brush and dip it into bucket of warm water. Add a few drops of mild detergent to the water and mix it around. Apply soapy water to the affected area and lightly brush the stain in a circular motion, removing as much of the oil as possible. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes to allow it to break down the oil.
Grab one of your dry cloths and use it to wipe away the oil stain. It may take a few wipes before it is completely removed, but be sure to be gentle and not rub too hard in order to avoid damaging the surface.
Once stain is removed, rinse area with clean water and then dry with a clean cloth. Make sure to clean the soft-bristled brush and dry it before putting it away. Afterward, sit back and admire your clean, stain-free surface!
