Things You'll Need

  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Water
  • Microfiber cloth

Steps To Take

  1. Fill a bowl with warm water and mix in a few drops of laundry detergent.
  2. Soak garment in soapy water solution for a few minutes. Carefully agitate it with your fingers to help remove any stubborn oil stains.
  3. Rinse fabric under cool running water and squeeze out as much of water as possible.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix 2 parts white vinegar with 1 part warm water. Soak the garment in this solution for 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse the garment again, using cool water.
  6. Lay the garment flat on a microfiber cloth. Gently blot the area with a dry microfiber cloth to help it dry faster and absorb any remaining oils.
  7. Allow the garment to air dry completely.

Tips

  • If the stain remains, use a solution of laundry detergent and water to gently rub the stain. Be sure to alternate between gentle rubbing and blotting with a damp cloth.
  • If the stain still won't come out, take garment to a professional dry cleaner as soon as possible.
