Things You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Water
- Microfiber cloth
Steps To Take
- Fill a bowl with warm water and mix in a few drops of laundry detergent.
- Soak garment in soapy water solution for a few minutes. Carefully agitate it with your fingers to help remove any stubborn oil stains.
- Rinse fabric under cool running water and squeeze out as much of water as possible.
- In a separate bowl, mix 2 parts white vinegar with 1 part warm water. Soak the garment in this solution for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the garment again, using cool water.
- Lay the garment flat on a microfiber cloth. Gently blot the area with a dry microfiber cloth to help it dry faster and absorb any remaining oils.
- Allow the garment to air dry completely.
Tips
- If the stain remains, use a solution of laundry detergent and water to gently rub the stain. Be sure to alternate between gentle rubbing and blotting with a damp cloth.
