Supplies Needed
- Cotton wool
- Mild detergent
- Soft bristled brush
- Baking soda
- Water
Step 1: Blot the Stain
The first step is to gently blot the scissors oil stain with the cotton wool ball. Do not rub the stain, as this can cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove.
Step 2: Make a Soapy Paste
Measure out two tablespoons of mild detergent and mix it with two tablespoons of baking soda. Add enough water to make a paste and mix it until it is blended together.
Step 3: Apply Paste to the Stain
Using a soft bristle brush, apply the soapy paste to scissors oil stain. Allow it to sit for about five minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.
Step 4: Rinse Away the Soapy Paste
Once the soapy paste has been wiped away, rinse the area with a damp cloth using cool water. This will help to remove any remaining soap residue.
Step 5: Let the Area Air Dry
Finally, allow the area to air dry completely before wearing your Adidas again.
Tips and Tricks
- Be sure to use a mild detergent when making the soapy paste. Harsh detergents can damage the material.
- Use a gentle brush when applying paste, and don't scrub too hard.
- This method should only be used on Adidas made of natural materials such as leather or canvas.
