Step 1: Remove the Fabric Cover

Before you begin, make sure your accessories are metal or plastic. If not, skip this step. Otherwise, carefully remove the fabric covering from around the object.

Step 2: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Once the fabric cover is removed, dampen a cloth or paper towel with rubbing alcohol and blot the stained area. Do not rub the stain in circles or scrub the stain, as this could cause the oil to spread.

Step 3: Rinse the Stained Area Using Soap and Water

Next, moisten another cloth with warm soapy water and gently rinse the stained area of the accessory. Rinse with clean water and let air-dry.

Step 4: Reattach the Fabric Cover

Once accessory is dry, reinstall the fabric covering. If any of the oil remains, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stains are gone.

Additional Tips

  • If the stains persist, try using a stain remover product.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials which could damage the finish of the accessory.
