Oil-based stains on material like scissors can be difficult to remove. However, using a simple combination of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dish soap you can easily get rid of any oil residue. Here's how to do it:

  1. Start by pouring a few drops of dish soap onto the affected area and then scrubbing with a soft cloth or brush.
  2. Next, create a paste made from a tablespoon of baking soda and a few drops of hydrogen peroxide and apply it to oil stains.
  3. Once you’ve applied the paste to the affected area, let it sit for about 30 minutes.
  4. After 30 minutes, scrub the paste off with a stiff brush or sponge.
  5. Once all traces of the oil stain have been removed, rinse the scissors with warm water and then dry them off with a microfiber cloth.

That's it! Now your scissors should be free of oil stains and as good as new.
