Before you can get started cleaning your workwear, you'll need to gather a few supplies: laundry detergent, an old toothbrush, cold water, paper towels, white vinegar, baking soda and a basin or bucket.
This is the first step in removing a salad dressing stain. Pre-soaking will help break down the grease and reduce the chances of it setting in. To pre-soak your workwear, fill your basin or bucket with cold water and add a generous amount of laundry detergent to it. Then, submerge your workwear and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Once it's done soaking, rinse the item off with cold water.
Next, take a small amount of laundry detergent and mix it with cold water to form a paste. Once you have your paste, use your old toothbrush to gently work it into the fabric, focusing on the stained area. Let the paste sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Once you've removed the stain, it's important to take proactive measures to prevent it from returning. One such measure is to treat the fabric with a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda. Simply mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda together to create a paste. Once you have your paste, apply it directly to the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then, rinse it off with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
By following these simple steps, you can easily get rid of annoying salad dressing stains from your workwear. So don't give up, and keep your clothes looking fresh and clean!
