If you have a wool garment that has gotten stained with salad dressing, don't worry—you can clean it up quickly and easily. Here's how:

  • Mix together a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts lukewarm water in a small bowl.
  • Gently dab the stain with the solution until the affected area is saturated.
  • Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes before blotting it with a dry rag.
  • Rinse the area with clean, cold water.
  • Sprinkle some baking soda over the stain and let it sit for an hour.
  • Vacuum the baking soda off immediately.
  • Repeat the steps (minus the baking soda) if needed.

With just these simple steps, you can easily keep your wool garments looking fresh and new. You'll be enjoying those salads without worrying about what they will do to your wardrobe!
