The first step is to scrape off any excess dressing from the wedge using a flexible spatula or butter knife. Take care not to press too hard and damage the material of the shoe.
Once you've removed the excess dressing, dab a damp sponge onto the stain. This will help to absorb as much of the dressing as possible. Make sure to use a sponge that's only slightly damp so as to not further damage the material.
You then need to treat the stain with a detergent specifically designed for clothing and fabrics. For best results, use a detergent with a cleaning agent like peroxide or enzyme-based cleaners. Alternatively, you can also try a combination of white vinegar and water.
Once the detergent has been applied, rinse sponge in cold water and start blotting the stain until all the detergent is removed. Once the detergent is gone, use a clean towel to fully dry off wedge.
If the stain persists, you can apply an effective spot cleaner to the affected area. Take care to read instructions on the back of the bottle before applying it. Do not rub the spot cleaner into the material, but rather dab it over the stain.
Finally, vacuum away any remaining residue from the area. Allow the wedges to air dry in a cool, dry place. Do not machine dry shoes or expose them to direct sunlight.
By following these easy steps, you should have no trouble removing the salad dressing stain from your wedges. However, if the stain persists or worsens, it would be wise to take the shoes to a professional dry cleaner to have them cleaned professionally.
