Before attempting to remove the stain, you'll want to prepare the area. Soak stained area in cold water for about 20 minutes to loosen the stain. If the area still looks stained after soaking, use a spoon or dull knife to gently scrape off any excess dressing that may be clinging to the fabric.
Once you've prepped area, you can begin working on removing the stain. Start by making a mild cleaning solution that consists of an equal parts mix of salt, warm water and white vinegar. Stir the mixture together until it's completely combined and then apply it to the stained area using a clean cloth.
You should begin to see stain start to move from the fabrics as the solution starts to take effect. Gently rub the cloth in a circular motion as you apply the solution, as this will help break down the stain. Continue rubbing until the stain is no longer visible.
Once the stain has been removed, it's time to rinse the area. Do this by running cool water over stained area until it's no longer visible. If there's still some residue left behind, you can dab the area with a little bit of liquid dish soap before rinsing again.
When you're finished, allow the surface to air dry completely before putting it away. Don't machine dry the item, as this could cause the stain to set in and become even harder to remove.
