Step One: Blot Excess Dressing

Immediately upon noticing the stain, take a clean cloth or towel and blot away any excess salad dressing. This is critical because if the dressing sinks into the fabric, it may be even harder to remove the stain afterwards.

Step Two: Treat the Stain with Detergent

After blotting the area, cover stain with a drop of laundry detergent. Use your fingers to massage the detergent into the stain in a circular motion. Allow detergent to sit on the stain for at least 15 minutes before proceeding.

Step Three: Rinse with Cold Water

Once the detergent has sat for a while, rinse the fabric with cold water. Do not use hot water, as this may cause stain to set even more. Repeat this step a few times until the stain is gone from the fabric.

Step Four: Wash Fabric As Usual

Once salad dressing stain has been treated and rinsed, wash the fabric in your machine as you normally do. If you find that the stain is still there, then repeat one or more of the steps above.

Conclusion

Salad dressing stains can be tricky, but with a few easy steps you can get rid of them quickly and easily. Make sure to blot stain immediately, treat it with detergent, rinse with cold water, and then wash the fabric as usual. With these simple steps, you will have your uniform looking like new in no time!
