The first step is to make sure that you blot any excess salad dressing with cold water and a paper towel. Avoid rubbing or pushing the stain further into the fabric.
Now that you've blotted the excess salad dressing off, you can pre-treat the stain. Mix together a solution of 1 teaspoon of a gentle dishwashing detergent and 1 cup of warm water. Use a cotton ball or rag to gently apply the mixture to stained area, taking care not to rub it into fabric.
Once you've pre-treated the stain, put the tights into the washing machine. If possible, choose a gentle cycle and a cool water setting. You may also want to add some color-safe bleach or a scoop of white vinegar to the load for extra stain-fighting power.
When the cycle is finished, hang the tights on a clothesline to allow them to air dry. This will help prevent any damage from heat in the dryer, and your tights should be good as new!
