Step 1: Blot Excess Salad Dressing

Use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot away as much of the salad dressing stain as possible. Apply pressure to lift out any excess liquid that has been absorbed into the fabric. Do not rub, as this can cause stain to spread.

Step 2: Pretreat the Stain

Mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water. Apply it directly onto the stain and cover with a cloth. Leave the cloth in place for 10-15 minutes, allowing the solution to penetrate the stain and break it up. After the allotted time, remove the cloth.

Step 3: Let Thong Soak in Hot Water

Fill a sink or bucket with hot water and add a mild laundry detergent. Submerge the thong in soapy water and allow it to soak for 30 minutes. The hot water and detergent will help to further lift and break down the Salon dressing stain.

Step 4: Rinse with Cold Water

Once thong has finished soaking, remove it from the water and rinse it in cold running water. This will help to remove any remaining traces of salad dressing stain and any residual soap.

Step 5: Machine Wash

Place the thong in the washing machine and set it to a gentle cycle. Wash with a mild detergent and cold water. Once the cycle has finished, inspect the thong for any remaining stains. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 1-4.

Step 6: Air Dry

Remove thong from the washing machine and allow it to air dry. Never put a stained thong in a clothes dryer as the heat may set the stain.
