When dealing with a salad dressing stain, the best way to approach it is with a combination of mild detergent and a soft cloth. Start by soaking a soft cloth in warm, soapy water. This will help to loosen any particles and oils stuck on the lens. Once the cloth is soaked, gently rub the lenses until you are able to loosen the stain.

Once you have loosened the stain, you can use a few drops of mild detergent on a soft cloth to further clean the lenses. Gently rub the lenses using a circular motion to lift off any remaining particles and oils. Again, be sure to use a soft cloth and gentle pressure with your fingers to avoid scratching the lenses.

If the stain is still present after these two steps, mix a solution consisting of equal parts rubbing alcohol, dish soap and water in a container. Dip a Q-tip in the solution and gently swab the lens in small circles. Be sure to use a different side of the Q-tip for each side of the lens.

Finally, rinse off your lenses with cool water, making sure to remove any excess liquid. To dry, use either a microfiber cloth or a soft towel. Do not wipe the lenses with a dry cloth as this can cause scratches.

With just a few simple steps, you can get rid of pesky salad dressing stains on your sunglasses. Keeping your lenses clean will ensure you can look forward to clear vision for years to come.
