Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Clean Cloth

The first step is to blot up any excess liquid using a white absorbent cloth. Gently dab the surface of the stained area to absorb as much dressing as possible before it sets deeper into the fabric.

Step 2: Treat the Stain Immediately

Once you have blotted away excess liquid, take a clean white cloth and dampen it with cold water. Use this cloth to blot the stained area. This should help to dilute the stain and make it easier to remove. For tougher stains, you can try adding a small amount of liquid detergent to cloth.

Step 3: Soak the Clothing in Warm Water

Let the clothing sit for about 15 minutes so the stain can loosen its grip on fabric. Once that’s done, fill a tub with warm water and add either laundry detergent or a specialized stain remover. Submerge the clothing completely in the mixture and let it soak for an hour.

Step 4: Rinse the Clothing in Cold Water

Run the clothing under cold water for at least two minutes. This helps to rinse off any remaining detergent or stain remover. Don’t dry the clothing yet. Hang it up to air dry.

Step 5: Repeat Steps if Necessary

If the stain is still visible after air drying, repeat the process from Step 1. Keep repeating until stain disappears. You may need to use different cleaning solutions until the stain comes out.
