What You’ll Need
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Laundry detergent
- Old toothbrush or soft brush
- Soft cloth
Instructions
- Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, till you get a paste-like consistency.
- Rub this paste onto stained area using an old toothbrush or a soft brush.
- Leave it be for 15-20 minutes.
- Rinse off paste with cold water.
- Make a cleaning solution with ¼ teaspoon laundry detergent and 1-2 cups of warm water.
- Gently dip a soft cloth in the solution and use it to spot clean your shoes.
- Rinse the soap off with cold water.
- Let your shoes dry completely before wearing them.
Tips to Keep in Mind
- Always start by trying out a small patch test on a hidden area of shoes to see how the fabric would react to the solution.
- Always rinse off the cleaning solution thoroughly with cold water, lest it leaves a soapy residue behind.
- Do not machine wash your shoes or put them in the dryer.
- Polish your shoes after they are dry to restore their natural shine.
