As soon as you notice a salad dressing stain on your sarong, take a clean cloth or paper towel and blot the area gently, without rubbing the stained area.
Mix one tablespoon of dishwashing soap with two cups of hot water. Submerge the stained area of the sarong into the mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes. This will help loosen the salad dressing stain and make it easier to remove when washing.
Once the stained area has soaked in the mixture of soap and hot water, rinse it off with cold water. Make sure all the soap has been rinsed away, otherwise you may end up with a soapy residue that could attract more dirt and grime.
Place your sarong in the washing machine and set the cycle to delicate. Use cold water and a mild detergent. Skip the fabric softener and dryer sheets, as these can leave a greasy residue that attracts more dirt.
Once the cycle is finished, hang your sarong to dry. This will prevent it from shrinking or losing its shape due to high heat in the dryer. It should be completely free of salad dressing stains.
With these simple steps, you can easily remove salad dressing stains from your sarong. If the stain does not come out after the first round of washing, repeat the process until the stain is gone.
