If the stain is still wet, gently blot it with a clean towel to remove excess liquid and prevent it from spreading. Once the stain is dry, use a small amount of dish soap on an old toothbrush and scrub the stain lightly. Focus on the stained area and avoid applying too much pressure to the fabric so as not to cause damage.
Mix one part baking soda with one part water to create a paste. Apply the paste to stained area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse the paste away with cold water, then repeat Steps 1 and 2 as necessary.
If the stain remains, mix equal parts white distilled vinegar with equal parts water and apply the mixture to the affected area. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse it with cold water to remove any remaining residue.
Your raincoat should now be stain-free! Hang the raincoat up on a clothesline or drying rack and let it air dry, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.
Salad dressing stains on raincoats don't have to ruin your day! Follow simple steps provided above to remove stubborn stains quickly and easily.
