If salad dressing is spilled on your pavers or concrete patio, it can be a pain to try to remove the stain. Dirt and other debris can stick to the dressing, making the surface seem impossible to clean. But don't worry, there are a few easy steps you can take to effectively clean the area.
The first step to eliminating a salad dressing stain is to scrape off any excess dressing with a spoon or other flat utensil. If some of the dressing has dried on the paver or concrete surface, try using a plastic scraper to help loosen the stain. Be careful not to scratch the surface as you scrape.
Once you have removed any excess dressing, fill a bucket with warm water and add a mild detergent. Using a scrub brush and the cleaning solution, scrub the stained area. If the stain is still visible, mix together two tablespoons of baking soda and a quarter cup of white vinegar and apply to the area. Let the mixture sit for five minutes before rinsing with warm water.
If the stain persists, you may need to apply a spot cleaner directly to the area. Read the instructions on the product to determine how to use it safely and effectively. Test the product in an inconspicuous place first to ensure it will not cause damage to the surface.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with warm water and dry with a soft cloth. You should now have a clean and stain-free paver or concrete surface.
