Once salad dressing has put its mark on nylon cloth, don't panic! There are a few simple steps you can take right away to remove stain before it sets in too deeply. Here's what you'll need:

  • White vinegar
  • A sponge or a rag
  • Liquid laundry detergent

Once you have your supplies gathered, here is how to clean a salad dressing stain from nylon fabric:

  1. Apply undiluted white vinegar directly to stain and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Using the sponge or rag, blot the area to remove any excess vinegar.
  3. Mix equal parts liquid laundry detergent and warm water in a bowl.
  4. Apply the detergent mixture to the stain and let it sit for another 10 minutes.
  5. Blot and rinse the stained area with warm water.
  6. If the stain persists, repeat steps 1-5.

Once you’ve finished these steps, the stain should be long gone. Just remember to air dry your nylon fabric, as the high heat from a dryer can set a stain in permanently.
