If you’ve ever experienced the unfortunate mishap of having salad dressing land on your favorite pair of Levi jeans, don’t worry – there’s hope. All it takes is a few simple steps and you’re on your way to getting those jeans back in pristine condition.
Time is of the essence when it comes to removing salad dressing stains. The quicker you act, the less likely stain will be able to set into the fabric. So grab a few paper towels or washcloths and blot at the affected area until you can’t remove anymore of the dressing.
Once you have blotted away as much of the salad dressing as possible, pre-treat the stain with a stain remover. There are several commercial stain removers on market that are designed specifically for getting rid of stubborn food stains. Apply the remover directly onto the stained area and allow if to sit for 15 minutes before laundering.
Once you have pre-treated the salad dressing stain, follow the laundering instructions on the garment’s care label. It’s best to use a cold water cycle in order to avoid any further setting of stain. Once laundry cycle is complete, inspect the jeans to make sure that the stain has been removed. If not, repeat the pre-treatment process and launder again.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
