If you've recently spilled salad dressing on your jumper, act fast and blot the excess stain with a clean cloth or paper towel. This will soak up some of the moisture and help keep the stain from setting in.
Next, run cold water over the stain for several minutes and then let the fabric sit and soak for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes have elapsed, lightly rub the stained area with your fingers and then rinse under cold water once more.
If the stain is still visible, it's time to get out the stain remover. Choose an appropriate product for your jumper's fabric type, read instructions on the package and apply the stain remover. Let it sit for the allotted amount of time, then rinse and repeat if necessary.
Finally, add your jumper to your next load of laundry and wash in warm or hot water according to the care label. Once the washing is complete, check your jumper to make sure salad dressing stain has been removed - if it hasn't, repeat steps three and four until stain is gone.
