Tip #1: Blot the Stain

The first step is to blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel as soon as you can. This will help absorb as much of the oil as possible before it has a chance to set in.

Tip #2: Pre-Treat Stain

Next, apply a pre-treating detergent to stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. This will help to break down the oils in the dressing and make them easier to remove.

Tip #3: Wash the Clothing

After the pre-treating detergent has been given time to work, it’s time to wash the clothing. Set your washing machine to the most gentle cycle possible and add a mild, chlorine-free laundry detergent. Once the clothing has been washed, check to see if the stain is still visible.

Tip #4: Repeat if Necessary

If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2-3 until the stain has been completely removed.

Tip #5: Air Dry

Once the stain has been removed, air drying item will help to preserve the fabric and prevent damage caused by heat drying.
