What You Need
- Laundry detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Soft bristled brush
- Paper towels
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by gently scrubbing the stained area with a soft bristled brush. This will help loosen the stain before you clean it.
- Mix laundry detergent with small amount of hydrogen peroxide for a light paste. Apply the paste directly to stain and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Using the brush again, gently scrub the stained area in a circular motion until the stain starts to lighten.
- When the stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water. Then pat dry with a paper towel.
Tips and Precautions
- Be sure to spot test cleaning solution in an inconspicuous area to make sure it doesn’t damage your flip flops.
- If the stain won’t budge, then use a stronger solution – but only as a last resort. Try increasing amounts of detergent and hydrogen peroxide.
- Avoid using strong chemicals such as bleach or vinegar since these can break down the material of your flip flops.
