The first step is to gently blot the area around the stain with a dry cloth or paper towel. Be careful not to rub the stain as this may cause it to spread further.
Once the excess dressing has been blotted away, pre-treat the stained area with a dab of laundry detergent. Let it soak for 10 minutes before moving to the next step.
With the detergent pre-treated, rinse the stained area with cold water. Then throw the flannel in the washing machine and cycle on a warm setting. After that, hang the flannel up to air dry.
If the stain is still present after initial wash and dry, re-launder the flannel in warm water. Doing this should help get rid of any lingering dressing.
