Step 1: Blotting

The first step to removing the salad dressing stain is to blot up as much of the dressing as possible. Use a paper towel or a clean cloth and blot in an outward direction. Do not rub or scrub as this will cause the stain to spread.

Step 2: Pre-treatment

To pre-treat the stain, mix a teaspoon of liquid detergent with 2 cups of warm water and apply this solution to the affected area. Leave the solution on the stain for 5-10 minutes before blotting it up with a cloth.

Step 3: Wash

Put your crepe in the washing machine along with cold water and a mild laundry detergent. If you are using a hand wash method, soak crepe in cold water with a mild detergent and then rinse.

Step 4: Dry

After washing the crepe, place it into the dryer on lowest setting, or line dry if preferred. Once it is dry, check for any remaining staining and repeat pre-treatment and washing steps if necessary.
